🖼️ **Sakharov Under Watch** Join us for an intriguing exhibition at The Nobel Prize Museum, opening on **6 februari** and running until **29 mars**! This unique showcase, curated by journalist **Anna Narinskaya**, highlights the chilling KGB surveillance footage captured during Andrei Sakharov's almost seven-year exile in Gorky. This compelling art piece offers a glimpse into the extensive surveillance that Sakharov faced throughout much of his life, particularly from **1980-1986**. 📜 Anna Narinskaya elaborates: *“In Gorky, Sakharov and his wife Elena Bonner were confined to an apartment without a telephone and monitored constantly by KGB officers stationed in the entrance hall. Their apartment was regularly searched in their absence, and KGB operatives shadowed them wherever they went. The surveillance extended to agents with hidden cameras posing as everyday people, even in places Sakharov frequently visited, like hospitals. This extensive watch was shocking, but especially pronounced during the years of Perestroika when KGB archives became accessible, leading to the release of the surviving footage to Sakharov’s family.”* 📍 **Location**: Stortorget 2, SE-111 29 Stockholm, Sverige 🔗 [Learn More Here](https://www.nobelprizemuseum.se/en/exhibition/sakharov-under-surveillance) 🗓️ [Event on Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/events/1098819472322938/)
