Welcome to the **Sunday Jam** - a vibrant Contact Improvisation dance experience! 💃✨ Join us every *Sunday* from **17:00 to 20:00** for an engaging journey into movement. We kick off with a guided warm-up, blending solo movement and contact to find a natural flow, followed by an open jam where creativity takes center stage. **Location:** Hornsgatan 93, 117 28, Stockholm **Doors open:** 16:50 for the intro and at 18:00 for the open jam. Arrive at one of these times for entry! ### What is Contact Improvisation? 🤔 Contact Improvisation is an expressive dance form focused on listening to your body and engaging with your surroundings, including the space and fellow dancers. This dynamic practice evolves as we move in and out of physical contact, allowing us to explore gravity and sensation together. It’s about fluid, unpredictable movement that enhances reflexes and fosters deep interaction. Originally developed in the 1970s in the USA, Contact Improvisation has since blossomed into a global community of movers. 🌍 ### About the Jam This event welcomes everyone, whether you wish to dance, observe, or immerse yourself in the atmosphere. Feel free to enter or exit dances as you wish. Remember, conversations and social gatherings occur outside the studio to maintain focus on our dance. If you need a break, kindly step aside. We encourage participants to dance barefoot and wear comfortable clothing! 🩴 ### Membership & Pricing 💰 With nearly 30 years of tradition, starting in 2025, our Sunday Jam will be managed by the non-profit association **Kontaktimprovisation Stockholm**. By becoming a member, you can enjoy incredible benefits and help shape our dance community! - **Full Year Membership (1000 SEK):** Enjoy unlimited access to Sunday jams for an entire year. - **Term Membership (700 SEK):** Free entry for a whole term along with year-long membership. - **Support Membership (200 SEK):** Ideal for those outside Stockholm who wish to support the association. - **Drop-in Rate:** For non-members and support members, the drop-in fee is **100 SEK** per jam (payable via Swish or cash).
